Guitar LensTerms of Service

These terms apply to the Guitar Lens website at guitarlens.com and guitarlens.app and to purchases made there. Guitar Lens is operated by James Houston, doing business as Guitar Lens ("we", "us"), in Pennsylvania, USA. By using the website or buying a plan, you agree to these terms.
Our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
The product
Guitar Lens: Learn Triads is a tool for learning and practicing guitar triad shapes. Major and minor triads are free. A paid plan unlocks all 23 chord types. The Lifetime plan also includes future Guitar Lens topics and upgrades as they are released.
Plans and billing
- Yearly ($9.99 per year) starts with a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you are charged and the plan renews every year until you cancel.
- Lifetime ($49.99) is a one-time payment with no renewal.
- Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added where required and shown at checkout.
- You can cancel a subscription at any time using the link in your receipt email or by contacting support@guitarlens.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you before a change affects your renewal.
Purchases in the iPhone app
Purchases made in the iPhone app are sold by Apple through the App Store and are governed by Apple's terms, including Apple's refund process. Website and App Store purchases are separate unless we tell you otherwise.

Your account
To use a paid plan on the website you sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure; anyone with access to it can sign in to your plan. A plan is for your own personal use.
Acceptable use
Don't copy, resell or redistribute the product, try to get around the paid unlock, or interfere with the website's operation.
Your progress
Your practice progress, streaks and badges are stored on your own device or in your browser. Clearing your browser data or changing devices can remove them. We can't restore progress we never receive.
Disclaimers
The product is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available but don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version, with its effective date, is always on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without limiting any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
